Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and 9626956 Canada Inc., operating Gitbeep. By creating an account, installing an integration, or using Gitbeep, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must have reached the age of majority where you live and be able to enter a binding contract.

Gitbeep is offered for professional and business use, including use by an individual developer for their professional software projects. It is not offered as a consumer or personal-use product.

If you use Gitbeep for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms and connect its GitHub and Slack resources. Workspace owners are responsible for authorized membership and configuration.

Gitbeep receives authorized GitHub pull-request events, creates impact assessments from available metadata and changed-file signals, applies customer-configured Beep Rules, and can post cards to selected Slack channels. Features may evolve during the early-access period.

Paid workspace owners and administrators can also deliberately request AI-generated advisory answers based on excerpts retrieved from Gitbeep's reviewed PR-risk research corpus. The tool displays retrieved references and remains separate from the deterministic assessment pipeline: it cannot change an impact rating or trigger Slack delivery.

Impact labels, summaries, signals, suggested checks, AI-generated answers, and retrieved references are decision-support information—not a security audit, code review, compliance opinion, or guarantee that a change is safe. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, and a displayed reference may not support a recommendation. You must independently verify critical details and make merge, deployment, and incident decisions in GitHub and your own systems.

• Keep account access secure and notify us promptly about suspected unauthorized use.
• Connect only repositories, workspaces, channels, and data you are authorized to use.
• Maintain the third-party accounts and permissions required for Gitbeep to operate.
• Review Beep Rules and destinations before enabling them; your configuration determines where cards are posted.

You can revoke Gitbeep through GitHub or Slack. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and may change or suspend their APIs.

Gitbeep does not offer a free plan or trial. Paid plans are flat-rate monthly subscriptions charged in advance to a card through Stripe-hosted Checkout. Plans renew automatically at the price shown at checkout until cancelled. Where Gitbeep is required to collect tax, that tax is included in the displayed subscription price and identified by Stripe at checkout or on the invoice.

The billing portal lets you update the payment card, view invoices, and cancel at the end of the current billing period. Self-service plan and quantity changes are not available. If a payment fails or requires action, Stripe or Gitbeep may retry the charge and send recovery messages; continued non-payment may limit or end access. Cancellation does not refund the current period, and access ordinarily continues through it. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase.

We may change future prices or plan limits with reasonable advance notice. A price change will apply no earlier than your next renewal after the notice period described to you.

You may not use Gitbeep to:

• Violate law, another person's rights, or third-party platform rules.
• Access data without authorization, probe or bypass security controls, or interfere with the service.
• Transmit malware, secrets you are not entitled to disclose, or unlawful or abusive material.
• Resell, reverse engineer, or use the service to build a competing product except where law does not permit that restriction.
• Place unreasonable load on the service or evade plan, rate, or usage limits.

You retain ownership of content and configuration you provide or authorize (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited right to host, copy, transmit, and process Customer Data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service as permitted by our Privacy Policy and your configuration. You are responsible for having the rights needed to provide that data.

Gitbeep and its software, design, documentation, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. If you send feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation, without identifying you publicly.

We work to operate Gitbeep reliably, but do not promise uninterrupted service or a service-level agreement unless we sign one separately. We may change, limit, or discontinue features, and may suspend access to protect the service, comply with law, address non-payment, or stop a material breach.

You may stop using Gitbeep and uninstall integrations at any time. On termination, payment obligations already incurred survive. You may request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gitbeep is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that an assessment identifies every risk or affected system.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid to Gitbeep in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or CAD $100 if you paid no fees. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Toronto, Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires another forum.

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them with our business. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any checkout terms are the entire agreement for the service unless we sign a separate agreement.
